3/8/10

thank god that's over!

sort of!

I haven't had time to do much of anything in the last two weeks, what with portfolio and then the Emergence show (going up this wednesday!) but it's nice to know i can be commited to something and really put all of my effort into it.

got kind of killer near the end though, drawing at 3 am doesn't come out with as good results as drawing fresh and early after a full night's sleep.
but it felt so goooooooood!
it seems the more i draw the more i love it!
i want to draw draw draw explore new things draw new things try new things
it's so tough!
because sometimes i look at art and other young artists like myself and i see how great they are!
i guess this is what keeps me from being cocky, knowing there are thousands of people out there who are a thousand times better than me.
it's also a good push though, because it gives me goals to strive for and things i'd like to achieve.

but, no more 3 am drawing.
doesn't come out like it could.

to do:
finish el topo chick drawing
develop new idea (room of people), DO IT
think of a new idea

it's spring in march and the smell is just amazing.
in a week i'll be on break.
the weather will be above average.
i will chill, relax and draw.

pink floyd is good to listen to as you sit and draw because it (especially the wall) is like a story and so part of your mind floats away as the other part works away.

ps: r imissu. i'm such a cheese ball but it truu yo! cnt stop thkin'. <3

...aaaand finally!

  1. I actually do my best work at 3:00am and later. There's something I quite like knowing that everyone is sleeping while I'm being productive, plus there's no one to distract me. Different strokes for different folks.
