the holidays have officially started but i still feel so busy busy busy.

i am looking to read more books.

madame bovary by gustave flaubert = excellent read.
(first published novel, aaand considered his masterpiece.)

i feel like speaking in some 19th centure lingo.

Madame Bovary is a woman who is never satisfied with anything in her life. Whenever she is confronted with the possibility for a new and exciting experience she milks it for all she can. As soon as the charm and novelty wears, she becomes miserable and discarts it as meaningless. She will believe that her experience was never truly any good and is constantly in search for novelty. She can be satisfied by nothing and is in constant search for the highest form of pleasure she can obtain. In addition to all this, Emma believes that her expectations are the norm. She deserves to find "happiness," (or impossible perfection) and so sees things more tragically than they normally would be when she doesn't get her way.
