at least the chocolate cake was good

today was my cousin michael's birthday, so nicky, james, michael and i went downtown to celebrate his 15th birthday. i kept telling people all week that he was turning 16 which doesn't make sense because i knew he was younger then my brother but for some reason i kept thinking that he was turning 16 and not 15. dont know why. anyways, we had planned this for a while, to go to the andy warhol exhibit and shop around for michael's present.

we got downtown at around 1:15 and it was jamie's first time taking the metro, which was funny.
we walked down to the museum and saw the exhibit.
i didn't really know what to expect from it since it was of andy warhol's pieces that related to music. it ended up being really cool though. there was all kinds of stuff and it was much longer then i thought it would be. it was totally worth it and i bought a post card of andy warhol and he's wearing a clown nose. it's black and white and it's really cool looking.

then we went to eat at harveys, which was not my first choice since i'm trying to cut out chain restaurants, especially fast food.
but it was michael's birthday so i'm not going to argue.
i was impressed by how their burgers look however, especially since they put it all together infront of you and you choose what you want inside.
it looked good but the meat was really rubbery and it's so stupid because they clearly don't grill the meat, but there somehow is grill marks on the patty.
tsk tsk tsk.

after that we went to simons and bought michael some shirts.
i hate stores like that on the weekend they are sooo packed like you can't even move through the aisles.

we got picked up and i went to my aunt's house for michael's birthday.
my uncle had this like huge fit because he was offended by my other uncle calling him "selfish" the day before because they hadn't paused the hockey game so that he wouldn't miss anything.
it started off as a kind of joking discussion and then just got really heated and he was getting super defensive towards my aunt and stuff and constantly interrupting to yell more.
at one point he said something like.. "a man that age shouldn't have reacted the way he did" (because he got angry and yelled)
meanwhile, i'm thinking, "if youre going to be calling his behaviour childlike you probably should be considering the way you are acting before making a judgement.."
it was so stupid and i could tell my aunt was getting annoyed/mad.

as im getting older im noticing alot more about the adults in my family and how they deal with things/eachother.
sometimes they are so immature and i just want to bud in and tell them how they should be acting in this situation.
two of my aunts arent talking to eachother and so they were never seen in the same room at all tonight.
so weird.
if i ever got in a fight with my brother or sister in law i wouldnt let it get to the point that we wouldnt be speaking. it's so stupid.
fights are stupid.
